Description

This is a bound black & white double-sided A4 size photocopy with thin card back and clear acetate front detailing stampings, colour codes, markings and stencilling on British gun and howitzer projectiles, mortar bombs, grenades, packaging and exploders. Over 40 pages, consisting of 20 pages of text describing the various stampings and markings which were used, their meaning, size per calibre, position and colour etc. Then a three page index followed by a further 20 pages of illustrations showing position of markings etc on particular projectiles, grenades and packaging. The full title of the publication is ‘Regulations For Army Ordnance Services, Part II Pamphlet No3 - Markings on Land Service Projectiles For Guns, Howitzers and Mortars; also Grenades, other than Signal Grenades.’ Published in 1934 this is an invaluable reference for correctly repainting items in your collection or adding to your library and knowledge base.
