WW1 French Time and Percussion Nose Fuze, '24/31mm Mle.1916 Fuse-Detonator A'

Nice, all brass, WW1 French time fuze Fusee-Detonateur a Double Effet: 24/31mm Mle.1916 Fuse-Detonator A. 

All brass with no markings. Booster assembly unscrews and is empty. Approximately 120mm long. Timing ring graduated from 0-31. Outer brass cover has three vertical splits (see pics). Threads on main body are good so could be fitted to a projectile. 

A purely time-delay model intended for anti-aircraft use, which appeared in 1916 and was without any percussion system in the rear. 'A' in title signifies 'extended'. The lengthening of the fuse body was achieved by an additional fuse coil which was graduated from 0 to 31 seconds instead of the 0 to 24 seconds of the previous models.
