WW2 German Splitterbombe SD-1 HE Sub-Munition

For sale here is a WW2 German Splitterbombe SD-1, HE-Fragmentation, fin-stabilised, Anti-Personnel submunition. Cast-iron body (as also used in the 5 cm leichter Granatwerfer 36 mortar bomb). Measures about 166mm long. With nose percussion fuze marked 'AZ73A3 22'. Ground recovery without any cleaning so shows surface corrosion.

• Item is INERT and free from explosive hazard (FFE) and identified to the best of my knowledge but the buyer is responsible for ensuring that the identification is correct.
