Description
Offered for sale here is a nicely sectioned 1916 dated French 1Pdr Hotchkiss Revolver Cannon HE round. Brass case headstamps read '37-85 PDPs 229 .2.16 Flaming Bomb'. Missing primer cap. Unfired HE projectile has no stamped markings on body, but shows '220 17 Anchor' on the brass Desmarest nose percussion fuze which retains it's lead washer to seat the fuse. Projectile, fuze and case have been sectioned to show internal construction. The empty copper initiator and wood spacer in the nose fuze are original, the steel needle striker and forward wooden plug closure (with red lacquer moisture seal) have been re-made to original specification. This is a nice round in excellent condition.
Condition as per the images above. P&P using RM Tracked 48 to a Mainland UK postcode address will be £4.50.
