American 75mm Field Gun Case

Offered for sale here is an American made case for the 75mm Field Gun. Brass case measures 75x350R with various stamped markings including '75mm GUN AM LOT 781-36-H LOT 781 ACCo 8'. The struck push-in primer is marked 'US 18 1425-828'. 

Developed from the French 75mm Field Gun case used during and after WW1, this is the pre-cursor to the 75mm M18 case which was used in both Field and Tank Gun roles during WW2. 

This case has not been over-polished so still retains a crisp, angular shoulder which so often gets rounded after 100 years of 'Brasso' treatment.
