WW1 German 10.5cm HE Round for 10cm Field Guns, K04/14/17

Previously listed as a shrapnel round I've been doing some research and now believe that this is an HE projectile so, offered for sale here now is an unfired 1918 dated HE round for the German 10cm Model 1904/1914/1917 Field Guns (10cm Gr. Patr.). Brass case measures 105x505R and has the following headstamps 'Karth POLTE MAGDEBURG Sp406 SEPT 1918. The small screw-in primer is unstruck and inert. Case is in excellent condition. I'm pretty certain that the projectile is an unfired 10cm Granate fitted with an all brass time and percussion nose fuze type Dopp Z 92 nF. The fuze is marked 'Dopp.Z.92.n.F SHE 151 SSWN18' and graduated from 2 to 43. The fuze is screwed into a very narrow (5mm thick) steel adapter which in turn is screwed into the top of the projectile (see pic of fuze to see adapter thickness). Neither fuze or adapter will turn using hand pressure. I not tried anything stronger. The projectile is empty and dust and small bits of debris can be heard inside it when shaken. To confirm empty status visually I have drilled a 7mm hole through the projectile body just in front of the rotating band. This hole can easily be turned to the back if desired. (The hole started as 13mm diameter but ended as 7mm as that was the only drill bit I had which would cut the steel.) There are no visible markings on the projectile. The projectile sits correctly in the case and makes a super round standing over 32in tall. (NOTE: The Egg grenade is for scale purposes only and is NOT included in the sale.)
