A rare No.11 gaine used in conjunction with igniferous/mechanical time fuzes (199, 207 etc) to convert the flash into a detonation. Used with 3.7” / 4.5” anti aircraft rounds etc before the introduction of fuzes with built in exploder (ie 208)

WW2 Japanese 25mm (Hotchkiss) naval AA shell case 1943
In reasonable condition but with an obvious dent. Manufactured by the Kure Naval Arsenal (2 horizontal lines over the anchor) in April 1943.
