WW1 Austro-Hungarian 3,7cm M13/M15 Mountain/Trench Gun 'Rebounding' HE Rd

Offered for sale here is an unfired, 1917 dated Austro-Hungarian HE round with a 'rebounding' projectile which was used in either the 3,7 cm Gebirgskanone M.13 Mountain Gun or the 3,7 cm Infanteriegeschütz M.15 Trench Gun.

Brass case measures 37x57R with headstamps 'GR|S|189|1917' and a struck primer. 

The unfired rebounding HE projectile is the variant with two narrow copper driving bands. The front tip of the projectile with firing pin for the bouncing charge currently does not unscrew and the front section which blows off on landing is still held firmly by the original press fit but is also quite easily removable with finger pressure. The steel septum between front end and main charge in the lower body is missing so the projectile is completely empty and inert. The projectile has an 8mm drill hole through the base to easily confirm FFE status. 

Typical of this case type, the brass case has a crack at the case mouth (see 5th image) but it is not stretched and still firmly grips the projectile in the correct position. This is a nice little round.
