WW2 British 4in AA & GP Gun Case

For sale here is a 1941 dated shell case for the British 4in Mk16 Naval Anti-Aircraft and General Purposed Gun. Case measures 102x730R with headstamps '4IN MKS XVI & XVI* GUNS LOT511 ICI S N 1941'. One of the three holes in the base for the primer protector has been drilled through, the other two remain at their normal depth of 5mm. This case had been converted into a gong by attaching a length of rope with a wooden 'striker' ball to hang from the No14 primer which also has a hook to suspend the case. This is easily unscrewed so the current primer can be replaced if desired. I'll include this primer, rope and striker in the parcel with the case in case you want to reinstate them and make an awesome dinner bell! Case is in really nice condition and just waiting for a projectile.
